Confederate cap box with embossed CS on front flap. Very rarely do we encounter these as opposed to all other CS cap boxes…All ears are present and single back strap is present. Front closure tab is there but separated at the hole for attachment over finial. Still fairly supple leather. Appears as though bottom of back belt loop may have been reattached at the bottom (see photos). Overall a 6.5 to 7 on a 1-10 scale and percussion caps are still rattling around inside. Here’s a chance to add a box thats usually missing ion even the most advanced collections. New to the market as well.
