This is probably a Boyle & Gamble with a North Carolina made scabbard. The two have been together forever and not uncommon to see this combination 95% leather on grip with some scuffing in spots and all wire is intact. Blade has nice finish and still displays nicely. Scabbard retains almost all reddish brown finish as was applied at manufacture. Nice lap seam scabbard with brass mounts. With roman numerals the brass throat you assume it was a product of Kennansville arsenal but who knows for sure. No numerals on guard. Overall a much better than average cavalry sword produced in the South for the War effort. Will display perfectly in your relic room.
